At The Parc, we offer All-Inclusive Boarding and treat your pet the way it should be treated.  We don’t charge you extra to feed your pet more than once per day, give your pet extra walks or exercise in our supervised play areas like many other facilities do.  We also don’t put your pet in a cage or surround them with concrete, chainlink and smelly, filthy drains.  Each of us at The Parc is a pet lover and pet owner and consider our pets not to be possessions but members of our family.  We’ve worked hard to create one of the safest, cleanest, most comfortable pet resorts in Central Florida where your pet will not only enjoy their stay, they will be begging to come back.  We promise to treat your furry family members the only way we would want ours treated.  We feel confident that once you and your pet experience The Parc boarding difference, you’ll never go anywhere else again.  We invite you to learn more about our boarding services below and to contact us if you have any questions.  Even better, why not visit us and see The Parc difference for yourself!



                        


        What’s Included 

At The Parc, we feel strongly that unless there are specific health or geriatric concerns, no pet should be sitting in an enclosure alone all day.  That’s why our play and walks are included in our rates and we feature both outdoor and indoor play areas so your pets can exercise no matter what the weather!  You can even watch them on our webcams which may be accessed on our Sports page.

Our regular feedings are scheduled for both morning and evening.  Owners with special needs pets (such as those who are young, geriatric, or have physical concerns) can arrange for additional feeding sessions.  Please provide us with enough food for your pet’s stay.  You should never allow a boarding facility to mandate that your pet be fed only its selected brand.  Even the best boarding will be a change for your pet and it is not a good idea to switch your pet’s food and add unnecessary stress on its body.

Dogs

·        First walk is at 7am and last walk is at 10pm.

·        Social and physically able dogs that are part of the main play groups enjoy at least 6 potty walks and both a morning (9:30am-12:30pm) and afternoon (1:30pm-4:30pm) supervised group play session (indoors and outdoors) 7 days a week (except holidays.) 

·        Physically able dogs that are not part of the main play groups enjoy at least 6 walks per day and are rotated throughout the indoor and outdoor activity areas as much as possible from 7am to 10pm daily.

·        Non-physically able dogs enjoy at least 6 walks or as directed by owner.            

Cats 

·        All cats enjoy at least 2 individual exercise sessions.  (We do not allow cats to interact with pets from other families.)

At The Parc, we feel strongly that just because you need to board your pet, that doesn’t mean your pet needs to be caged or kenneled.  At The Parc there are NO CAGES, NO CONCRETE and NO CHAINLINK.  Your pet enjoys the comfort of your home with you so why shouldn’t it have the same comforts when you’re away?  The health and safety of your pet is our priority so we can’t quite give them your plush carpet or your chenille couch, but we can provide them with a bed, a blanket, stainless steel bowls and their own private suite that has been constructed to keep them safe, comfortable and clean.  All of the materials used in our facility can be easily cleaned and disinfected with environmentally and pet safe products.  All suites are thoroughly cleaned every morning and additional cleaning and bedding changes are made whenever needed. Our suites are built so that your pet cannot have contact with pets from other families, thus keeping them from sharing food, toys or fluids and preventing them from playing or interacting unsupervised.  

    Dogs 

·        Have you ever wondered why kennels are so loud and the dogs bark so much?  It’s because they can see each other through the chainlink fencing, crates or kennel panels.  For a dog, it is very stressful to be able to see another dog but not be able to physically greet them.  (That’s why they bark at your window when another dogs walks by your home.)  At The Parc, our facility is remarkably calm and quiet because your pet cannot see other pets from their suite.  The dogs feel safe, are not stressed, and do not feel the need to bark.  They are free to relax and enjoy the day’s featured movie or television presentation when not in a play session.

·        For dogs, we offer 2 different wall heights to accommodate all of our guests.  Most of our dog suites feature 4-foot high walls allowing the pets to easily see us as we walk by and approach their room.  These suites come in 2 different sizes and are appropriate for the majority of our guests.  For the few jumper dogs, such as some Boxers and Border Collies, who can scale a 4-foot wall, we also have a select number of suites which feature 7-foot high walls to keep them safe.  These suites have windows for the dogs to see out and alleviate any feeling of being closed in a closet.  If your pet can jump a 4-foot wall, please let us know when making reservations as you will need to book one of our tall suites which are limited.

     Cats 

·        Cats are meant to live life in three dimensions so at The Parc, we don’t restrict your cat to just one level.  Our beautiful kitty townhouses provide your cat with 8 feet of vertical space and 4 different levels to hang out and explore.  Cats too appreciate some entertainment so everyday is filled with pet television and movies to keep your cat amused when not resting or enjoying an exercise session.

We provide your pet with stainless steel bowls, a blanket and a bed (raised Kuranda beds for dogs, plush beds for cats.)  Please bring enough food for your pet’s entire stay, and some extra in case your return pickup is delayed.  Sanitary considerations require us to give your pet clean bowls and fresh food at every meal (at minimum once every 24 hours.) Please keep in mind that you should never allow a boarding facility to mandate that your pet be fed only its selected brand.  Even the best boarding will be a change for your pet and it is not a good idea to change your pet’s food and add unnecessary stress on its body.

·        Dogs - Please bring their collar and/or harness and leash. 

·        Cats - Please bring their collar and/or harness and arrive with pet in a carrier.

 

You may also bring:

·        Toys (please limit to 3 toys per pet)

·        Unwashed article of your clothing (such as a t-shirt) so it has your smell and comfort.

·        Personal bed/bedding (Must be washable)

·        Treats (We also offer an extensive room-service menu.)

 

We offer convenient check-in and check-out times 7 days a week.

Proof of current vaccinations is required for boarding, day care, grooming and training as all visiting pets are sharing the same facilities.  Titer tests along with a Veterinarian’s waiver may also be allowed in certain circumstances. We have a 10-day wait period for vaccinations so vaccination date must be at least 10 days prior to visiting unless vaccination date overlaps previous vaccination coverage period. For your convenience, you may fax your vet’s proof of vaccination for your pet to us in advance at (407) 332-7213.  If you do not receive a call from us confirming receipt of your fax within 24 hours, please call us at (407) 332-PARC (7272).

 

• Dogs: Rabies, Distemper, Parvo, Bordetella                            Cats: Rabies, FVRCP
• Canine Influenza: At this time there has not been a major outbreak of Canine Influenza in the Central Florida area so we are not yet requiring this vaccination.  This is subject to change at any time. Our personal veterinarians at the John Young Parkway Animal Hospital are currently recommending this vaccine for dogs who are consistently around other dogs (for example those who attend doggie daycare daily, visit local dog parks regularly or participate in dog training or other group events on a consistent basis) as it can be highly contagious if an outbreak occurs.  Please consult your personal veterinarian for professional advice and recommendations regarding this vaccination for your own pets.

 

 

                      

 

All female dogs and cats 6 months of age or more must be spayed in order to board or attend daycare.  All male Pit Bulls (& mixes) and American Staffordshire Terriers (& mixes) must be neutered for boarding or daycare services and are not eligible for group play sessions.  All male dogs 6 months of age or more must be neutered in order to be eligible for group play sessions.

 

All visiting pets must be free of fleas and ticks.  Pets will be checked upon entering the resort and any animal with fleas or ticks will immediately be given a Capstar pill and a flea & tick bath at owner’s expense or denied entry if circumstances or health concerns warrant.  This policy applies to boarding, grooming, daycare and training and may also apply to special events.

 

 

   

All dogs over 40 pounds, all Pit Bulls (& mixes), American Staffordshire Terriers (& mixes) and any dog in question regardless of weight must attend a trial day of daycare to assess dog’s temperament and ability to be safely handled and boarded.  This trial day is FREE but must be scheduled in advance of boarding reservation check-in date.  We reserve the right to refuse service to any pet deemed to be a concern for the health and/or safety of itself, our guests or our staff.
    

 

Prior to or upon their first visit, Owner’s will be required to sign our Services Contract & Waiver and complete a Pet Profile for each of their visiting pets in addition to providing proof of current required vaccinations.  For your convenience, you may download and complete this paperwork before your arrival.  Download links have been provided below.  If you choose to complete this paperwork upon arrival to the resort, please allow 20-30 minutes extra for check-in.

 

In addition, each time you check your pets in for boarding, you will be asked to complete a brief  Guest Portfolio confirming your directions and preferences for you pet’s feeding, play and medication, giving us any updates on your pet’s health or well-being, and allowing you to make selections from our Spa & Room Service Menu.  This should take only 2-3 minutes per pet.

Boarding Rates 

At The Parc, we offer All-Inclusive Boarding and treat your pet the way it should be treated.  We don’t charge you extra to feed your pet more than once per day, give your pet extra walks or exercise in our supervised play areas like many other facilities do.  At The Parc there are no hidden charges!  We only charge extra for non-standard care such as medication.  However, we do our best to fulfill any special requests without additional charges if at all possible.  When comparing facilities to care for your pet, make sure you add up all the fees they charge that would equal the experience The Parc gives your pet for one up-front reasonable rate.  For more information, please refer to the “What’s Included” section on our Suites page.

If your pet can jump a 4-foot wall, please let us know when making reservations as you will need to book one of our 7-foot tall suites. There is no extra charge for these but they are Queen in size and availability is limited.

 

*Medication Administration (Sorry we cannot administer injections): $2 per day extra per pet needing medication – only charged on days that medication is administered.

 

*Please remember to bring enough food for your pet’s entire stay and some extra in case your pet spills its food or your return gets delayed.  Sorry but there will be an additional charge for food purchase if your pet runs out of food during its stay.

For those owners who truly want to provide an extra special treat for their pets, the phase two build-out of The Parc will include our Luxury Suites.  Primarily for dogs, these suites will feature 8-foot walls with tile interiors and half-glass doors.  Pets will be able to lounge in specialty beds while watching their favorite shows on individual flat-screen televisions.  Owners will be able to look in on their pets via the internet on their personal web cam, privacy protected with a password.
